But since being made the permanent boss in June, Shakespeare has struggled to deliver. Leicester have picked up just six points from eight games so far this season and the paymasters at the King Power Stadium decided to pull the plug after a 1-1 draw with West Brom on Monday night.
The ultimate question now, though, especially considering the Foxes find themselves in the relegation zone, is who can come in to replace Shakespeare and put Leicester’s 2017/18 campaign back on track.
