da bet sport: Jose Mourinho doesn’t phaff about when it comes to making decisions on the future of players.
da marjack bet: His ruthless streak is what has made him such a sensationally successful manager over the last decade or so, but this very same ruthlessness could kill off the career’s of many a Manchester United player this summer.
The new Manchester United manager has already splashed cash this summer. The signings of Mkhitaryan, Ibrahimovic and Eric Bailly will be scrutinised throughout the following few months, with Mourinho sure to add to that before the window closes at the end of August.
The current squad will surely be quaking in their boots. Mourinho doesn’t take long to impose his own ideas on a club and he will certainly have a good idea of the players that will, and won’t, make the grade under his stewardship.
Just in case you aren’t sure which players will be first out the door, we’ve compiled a neat list…
Phil Jones
One of the most prolifically injured players in the Premier League, it must be frustrating being Phil Jones. Well, it’s frustrating watching Phil Jones and it must be even more frustrating to mange Phil Jones.
Once professed as the defensive saviour of English footballer, Jones has seen his career collapse into a mess of mist-timed tackles and a role as the jack of all trades.
If Jones could’ve remained fit, there’s a lot about him Mourinho would like but it’s hard to see him having patience with someone so unreliable.
Ashley Young
After his wonderful start to his Manchester United career, it took a transition to becoming a full-back to see Ashley Young become a regular member of the first team again.
A player of some talent, Young’s career seems destined for a mid-table spell and to gradually fizzle out now.
Mourinho will continue to spend and Young will surely no longer even be a back up.
Marcos Rojo
Rojo, after starting well, has been symbolic of a weak Manchester United defence over the previous few seasons and he only really saw first team action because of Luke Shaw’s injury last season.
The Argentine could sure do a job for many Premier League clubs, but, with more defensive additions likely, he’s not got much hope of being a United regular.
Juan Mata
There’s not much to say about Mata’s relationship with Mourinho.
The Portuguese manager took this wonderful attacking midfielder down from king of Stamford Bridge to a mere substitute. Mata is as far from a Mourinho-type player as there can be and that, in itself, is a shame.
It’s just a matter of time until he’s forced out the door, unfortunately.
Ander Herrera
Despite all the energy he provides to the Manchester United midfield, Herrera has really failed to make much of an impact upon the club since his arrival.
Neat cameos and hard working performances have done little to really win over the fans or Van Gaal, so why would this be any different for Mourinho?
If it’s to be a 4-2-3-1, Herrera doesn’t really slot in to the side and it is just made more difficult by the stature of Wayne Rooney at the club.
