According to The Evening Standard, Crystal Palace talisman Wilfried Zaha is ‘tempted’ by a move to Everton amid reports that the Toffees are set to table an opening offer of £55m for the forward.
It would be a major coup for the Merseysiders given the talent of the Ivorian and the fact that Arsenal have also been chasing him for the majority of the summer, whilst it would also be a clear statement of intent from Marco Silva.

The Eagles are said to value their No.11 at £80m, however, so it appears that Everton will need to significantly up their offer if they wish to land the former Manchester United man.
If Marcel Brands can get a deal over the line though, it would be a scary prospect to see the versatile Zaha line up alongside Richarlison, another forward who can play in multiple attacking positions.
As per WhoScored, the Brazil international featured 11 times in the centre last term, but also played 11 games out on the right flank and eight appearances on the left.
In Zaha’s case, the 26-year-old played on the left 12 times, 18 times in the centre-forward role, and twice as a right forward.
If Everton can persuade Zaha to move to Goodison Park, the versatility and ability to oscillate across the final third he and Richarlison possess would cause absolute chaos for the opposition.

Interestingly, their stats were not hampered by their versatility. The Palace man still netted an impressive 10 goals and provided five assists, whilst Richarlison finished as Everton’s top scorer in the league with 13 despite being moved around.
Think of it like this: if the opposition are dealing with the pair well during a game, they could simply switch wings, or one could go upfront, or they could even both go upfront.
Gameplans will be undermined and defenders won’t know who to mark, and that’s a factor that could help take Everton to the next level.
It would be a truly wonderful striking partnership to behold, one full of flair, end-product and attacking versatility.
