da imperador bet: Middlesbrough boss Tony Pulis has told Leeds United supporters that they are no different to plenty of other fanbases.
da gbg bet: The Whites’ following feel that they deserve to be back in the Premier League, particularly after narrowly missing out on the playoffs last season.
In the current campaign, the Yorkshire outfit currently sit 11th in the Championship, six points adrift of the top six after 34 games.
Leeds have not been in the top flight since 2004, and even dropped as low as League One, with their best attempt being in 2006 when they reached the playoffs in the second tier.
This evening, the team are due to take on Middlesbrough at the Riverside Stadium, and prior to the game, Pulis made a comment about Leeds’ fans.
According to the Yorkshire Evening Post, the 60-year-old said:
“They’ve got some good players, they’ve got a competent squad for the Championship and it’ll be a tough game. Every game is physically and mentally demanding and you have to be up for it. You look at the majority of the teams in the Championship and they’ve been in the Premier League.
“Leeds’ supporters will be no different to our supporters or to 15 other teams who see themselves as Premier League clubs. Our players have to realise it, accept it and grow with it – the demands are to win games. To do that you have to be not just good players but mentally tough as well.”
Leeds are unbeaten in their last three league games having drawn two and won one.
Last weekend’s 1-0 victory over Brentford was the club’s first league triumph since Boxing Day.
